Carved from Sphalerite and weighing an impressive 6.6 kilograms, this piece carries serious substance. The surface is rich with natural druzy, meaning the stone is covered in countless tiny crystal faces that catch and reflect light from every angle. Sphalerite itself is a zinc sulphide mineral known for its high refractive index, which gives it exceptional sparkle when well crystallised. In druzy form, that effect multiplies.

What makes this skull distinct is the aura coating. This finish is created through a vacuum deposition process where the crystal is placed in a sealed chamber and heated. Fine metallic vapours, often titanium or other trace metals, bond to the surface at a molecular level. The result is a thin, durable metallic layer that produces an iridescent rainbow effect across the natural crystal texture. The underlying mineral remains intact. The colour shift comes from light interacting with that bonded metallic layer, not from dye.
