🔮 Ammonites: The Flow of Ancient Tides

💙❤️ Third Eye & Root Chakras

This Madagascan ammonite is a natural fossil specimen preserved in its original spiral form and finished with a beautiful polish that enhances its surface detail. Sourced from Madagascar, this piece displays strong natural patterning across the surface, giving it a refined and distinctive appearance.

Unlike sliced ammonites, this fossil remains whole with the outer shell intact, creating a smooth, continuous spiral without visible internal chambers. The polish highlights the natural contours and intricate patterning, allowing the detail of the fossil to be clearly seen while maintaining its original structure.

Ammonites are extinct marine molluscs that lived millions of years ago. Over time their shells were gradually replaced by minerals, preserving their form in stone. This piece carries its own unique patterning, shaped by the conditions present during fossilisation.

The energetic signature of ammonite is often associated with structure, progression, and steady development. Many people are drawn to the spiral form as a reflection of natural growth and the way life unfolds in stages over time.

Placement works well on a desk, shelf, or within a collection where the spiral and surface detail can be appreciated. Its natural form and polished finish allow it to stand out easily as a focal piece.

This Madagascan ammonite offers a beautiful combination of preserved natural form and enhanced surface detail. With its distinctive patterning and smooth polished finish, it makes a striking and timeless addition to any crystal or fossil collection.

✨ Shape Meaning

🌀 Fossils

Fossils are life forms of either plants or animals that have been captured within an impression and preserved usually within the sedimentary rocks. Another type of fossil is resin fossilization where insects and plants are embedded within amber.

Most fossils are just casings or cavities of what was, and the soft parts of the animals and plants are rarely preserved due to certain salts and minerals breaking down the organic matter within.

Now another type of fossil can be completely replaced by an imprint or impression of the original shell, animal or plant within sedimentary rock or hard rock such as petrified wood.

Lastly a process called mineralization, is where an entire cavity can be completely replaced meaning if it was a shell, it would have completely dissolved. Through this process certain acids and solutions penetrate the cavity and form a new matrix within the cavity creating a 3D version of the shell itself.
