Ancient, grounding and beautifully understated, these Shungite spheres bring together one of the mineral world's more unusual natural materials with the balanced, continuous form of the sphere. Each is presented on a stand, making it easy to incorporate into a workspace, meditation area or home.

Shungite is an extremely old carbon-rich material, estimated to have formed around two billion years ago and found primarily in the Karelia region of Russia, particularly around Lake Onega. Its unusual composition has attracted both scientific interest and a strong following within the metaphysical community.

One of the most fascinating discoveries associated with Shungite has been the presence of fullerene-like carbon structures. Fullerenes are unusual arrangements of carbon atoms that can form hollow cage-like structures, with the best-known example resembling the geometric pattern of a soccer ball. Shungite has also been scientifically investigated for properties including adsorption, conductivity and water filtration.

The sphere is traditionally associated with wholeness, balance and unity. With no beginning or end, its symmetrical form is believed metaphysically to radiate energy evenly in every direction, making it particularly suited to placement within a room or workspace.

My Rainbow Obsidian Mini Spheres looks fantastic. I was drawn to the way it looked a different colour depending on what light or angle you were looking at it with. I lost my dad two years ago and have been struggling with his loss and my grief.
