Sourced from Rio Grande do Sul, one of the world's most celebrated Amethyst producing regions, this beautiful specimen showcases an impressive display of large crystal points saturated in rich purple colour. The intensity of the Amethyst immediately draws the eye, while the generous crystal formation creates depth, texture and sparkle throughout the cavity.

What Niome and I loved most about this geode was the quality of the points themselves. Larger Amethyst crystals of this colour are always sought after, and this piece displays them beautifully. As light reaches the crystal faces, the interior comes alive with flashes of violet from every angle.

Adding further character is the carefully carved basalt base. Rather than leaving the natural volcanic host rock untouched, the base has been shaped and finished to create a cleaner presentation while still preserving the geological story of the specimen. It provides a beautiful contrast between the rugged volcanic origins and the sparkling crystal interior.
