These Pink Opal Dragons are seriously fabulous. The softness of the natural stone paired with the dramatic silhouette of a dragon creates a combination that feels powerful without being visually heavy.

Each dragon has been carved from Pink Opal into an impressive outstretched form, with broad wings sweeping to either side and carved detailing following the membranes of the wings. Displayed upright on its fitted black stand, the full shape of the dragon can be appreciated from across a room rather than disappearing into a shelf. And those wings certainly deserve their moment. 🐉🩷

Pink Opal is a hydrated form of silica, SiO₂·nH₂O, and unlike precious Opal, it is generally appreciated for its body colour rather than play-of-colour. These pieces display beautiful soft pink colouring with natural variations of cream, blush and deeper pink moving through the stone. As each dragon is cut from natural material, the patterning and distribution of colour will vary between pieces.

The dragon itself carries an enormous history of symbolism. Across different cultures it has represented power, protection, wisdom, courage and mastery. In Chinese tradition in particular, dragons are auspicious beings associated with strength, good fortune, prosperity and the command of powerful natural forces.

This is the dragon energy we are feeling right now, a parting of the seas and a changing of the guard where everything is being put through a test of transparency and authenticity and if it is aligned then it is easy and if it is not then the connection graciously dissolves in such an organic way.
