Faden Quartz is that little reminder that even under extreme pressure from the Earth’s movement and separation between metamorphic rocks, which is where Faden is created, nothing is lost or broken but just set aside for a moment in time to reform again, just differently than before.

You see the Faden when it forms in the cleavage between 2 rock formations it can be twisted, stretched, and even snapped in 2 depending on the earth’s tectonic activity. However, what goes around comes around you could say as the Faden Quartz self-heals when the rock formations move together again. This is the white line with the Faden crystal that is quite distinct in the higher quality pieces with an almost transparent clarity.

Such delicate specimens and when you think about first the care within the handling that’s gone into first mining them, to then shipping them all around the world, my hat goes off to them.
