If you know me, then you know I LOVE sharks, so naturally when I came across these crystal shark head carvings, they were coming home with us. 🦈😂

Strong, sculptural and full of character, these carvings capture one of the ocean’s most fascinating and formidable creatures in natural stone.

The shark has existed in Earth’s oceans for hundreds of millions of years, making it an incredible symbol of survival, instinct and adaptability. Sharks are highly specialised predators, constantly reading their environment and responding with extraordinary sensory awareness. Symbolically, they can represent determination, confidence, resilience and knowing when it is time to keep moving forward.

The carved head design concentrates on the shark’s unmistakable features, from its powerful profile and defined jaw to those rows of teeth that make it abundantly clear this is not the ocean’s customer service department. 😂

Our shark heads are available in Golden Healer Quartz and Mexican Crazy Lace Agate, with each material giving the carving an entirely different personality.

Golden Healer Quartz is a variety of Quartz displaying golden to warm yellow mineralisation, generally associated with iron oxides and hydroxides occurring on or within the Quartz. Its natural transparency, internal features and golden mineral patterning make every shark completely individual. Metaphysically, Golden Healer Quartz is often associated with optimism, clarity, confidence and positive forward movement, rather appropriate for an animal that has become synonymous with momentum and instinct.

Mexican Crazy Lace Agate is a beautifully patterned variety of chalcedony, composed predominantly of microcrystalline Quartz. Famous for its intricate bands, swirls and wonderfully complex natural patterning, it originates principally from Chihuahua, Mexico. Its creams, greys, browns, reds and ochre tones are influenced by different mineral inclusions within the stone.

Crazy Lace Agate is traditionally associated with joy, vitality, confidence and maintaining a positive outlook through periods of change. Combined with the symbolism of the shark, it creates a fabulous pairing of resilience, instinct and personality.

Whether you choose one for the geology, symbolism, or simply because you share my completely reasonable obsession with sharks, these carvings certainly have attitude. 🦈

Each piece is naturally individual, with variations in colour, transparency, banding and mineral formations determined entirely by the stone from which it was carved.

My Rainbow Obsidian Mini Spheres looks fantastic. I was drawn to the way it looked a different colour depending on what light or angle you were looking at it with. I lost my dad two years ago and have been struggling with his loss and my grief.
