These beautiful little reindeer were individually hand selected by us for their colour, natural banding and character, with each carving showing its own combination of purple, lilac, clear, green and warmer Fluorite tones.

Rainbow Fluorite is particularly suited to carving because its natural colour zoning can become part of the design itself. Rather than being one uniform colour, Fluorite commonly develops in distinct bands and zones as the crystal grows under changing geological conditions. Once carved and polished, these layers can sweep through the body, antlers and face of each reindeer, making every one completely individual.

Fluorite is a calcium fluoride mineral with a cubic crystal structure and an incredible natural colour range. Purple and green are among its best-known colours, although clear, blue, yellow and combinations of several colours can occur within the same specimen. It is this natural variation that gives Rainbow Fluorite its name.

The reindeer adds another layer of meaning to these carvings. Across northern cultures, reindeer have long been associated with endurance, adaptability, movement and the ability to navigate challenging environments. In more modern symbolism, they have also become closely connected with the warmth, joy and magic of the festive season.

Metaphysically, Fluorite is traditionally associated with clarity, focus and mental organisation. Rainbow Fluorite is often chosen when seeking greater balance and perspective, with its different colours traditionally connected with several energy centres.

As these are carved from natural Rainbow Fluorite, no two will ever be exactly alike. Colour placement, banding, translucency and natural internal features will vary from one reindeer to the next, which was exactly what we loved when choosing them.

Lovely bracelet

Lovely bracelet. As expected, mine varies from the one pictured with different colour arrangement. I bought the small size as per recommendedin the size chart and it is perfect. It comes on a transparent elasticised thread. The stones are faceted so catch the light. The green in the bracelet matches a ring I have so very happy with purchase. I will be careful to monitor the stretchy thread as previously I have found over time they can start to ‘perish’ and can break when over stretched to get on or off. My other bracelet lasted 10 years before this happened.
