This spectacular Brazilian Quartz generator was chosen for its exceptional clarity and the incredible display of natural rainbows held within the crystal.

Large areas of the generator are beautifully clear, allowing you to look deep into the Quartz, but it is the internal fractures that completely transform this piece when the light catches them. Brilliant flashes of violet, blue, green, yellow and pink appear across the fracture surfaces, creating rainbows that seem to shift position and intensity as the generator is turned.

These rainbows are completely natural. During the growth and geological history of Quartz, internal stresses can create fine fractures within the crystal. When light enters the Quartz and interacts with these internal surfaces, it can be reflected, refracted and dispersed into its spectral colours. The result is the vivid rainbow effect seen inside this piece.

Rather than reducing the character of the crystal, these internal features give us a glimpse into what the Quartz has experienced during its formation. Combined with such beautiful clarity, they also allow light to travel through the generator and illuminate different areas from different viewing angles.
