🔮 Highly Collectable Fluorite

A Rare and Exceptional Find: Purple and Yellow Octahedral Fluorite Specimen from Zhejiang, China - Multi Fluorite Base Crystal which is mind blowing

Two remarkably different expressions of Fluorite come together in these exceptional specimens from Zhejiang Province, China.

The dominant mineral growth is a beautiful golden-yellow Fluorite displaying a botryoidal habit, where the surface develops as rounded, overlapping formations rather than the familiar cubes most people associate with Fluorite. Across this yellow crystalline landscape are contrasting areas of pale lilac to purple Fluorite displaying octahedral forms, creating an unusual combination of colour, texture and crystal habit within the same specimen.

Botryoidal mineral growth takes its name from the Greek word for a bunch of grapes, describing the rounded formations created as countless small crystals develop together across a surface. In these pieces, the growth produces a wonderfully dimensional appearance, with individual rounded formations merging into one another while still catching the light across their crystalline faces.

Then there is the purple Fluorite.

Fluorite belongs to the cubic crystal system, but it is capable of forming several distinctive crystal habits. The octahedral form develops with eight triangular faces, creating a completely different geometry from both the surrounding botryoidal growth and the classic Fluorite cube. Seeing these contrasting habits together makes these specimens particularly interesting from a mineralogical perspective.

The colour combination is equally striking. Warm honey and golden-yellow dominate the specimens, while areas of soft purple and lilac appear almost unexpectedly across the surface. Some are concentrated into larger formations, while others are scattered in smaller pockets, meaning every specimen has its own individual balance of colour and structure.

Originating from Zhejiang Province in China, an area well known amongst collectors for producing beautiful and highly varied Fluorite, these pieces are wonderful examples of just how diverse a single mineral species can be.

Each specimen has also been paired with a custom stand, positioning it vertically so the mineral growth can be properly appreciated. This presentation is particularly effective with these pieces, allowing the broad surface of yellow Fluorite and contrasting purple formations to be viewed as a complete natural composition rather than laying the specimen flat.

Metaphysically, Yellow Fluorite is traditionally associated with confidence, creativity, clarity and positive thinking, while Purple Fluorite is connected with intuition, focus and spiritual awareness. Together, they create a beautiful balance between clear thought and inner guidance.

These are not specimens that rely on a single dramatic crystal. Their appeal comes from the extraordinary combination of colour, contrasting crystal habits and the sheer amount of detail spread across the entire surface. The closer you look, the more you begin to appreciate just how unusual they really are. 💛💜✨

✨ Collectors Piece

🌠✨ Unique & Collectible ✨🌠

For Collectors of rare and unique crystals and for anyone that likes beautiful pieces around the home to add to the beauty and energy of your space.

Niome and I have been delving deeper and deeper into this part of our business for our own pleasure and collection but also for you to add to yours.

We spend countless hours developing relationships and connections with all our suppliers who are aligned with our love for all things crystal and through this process we have been able to acquire some amazing, beautiful pieces.

For us, collectible crystals are not an outlay but rather an investment. Whether the investment is for staging and uplevelling your homes energy, your energy and your homes décor or you see the value within a piece itself.

A piece that you may see today for a certain price may be a completely different price in 5-10 years’ time as everything comes to an end at some point, even certain varieties of crystals. This has been said to both Niome and myself from various friends within the industry and we have taken note.

Then there are crystals that have a delicate structure like Scolecite with their acicular fine needles shooting out from their matrix. Such delicate specimens and when you think about first the care within the handling that’s gone into first mining them, to then shipping them all around the world, my hat goes off to them.

The pieces we have in stock are pieces that truly have been cared for through all the processes it took for them to reach us.

Here are a few things to consider and even research when looking at collectible crystals for yourself -

The size of a certain crystal can be a factor as to whether it’s considered a collectible piece and can vary depending on the crystal type.

larger pieces have been around for a lot longer so to find a larger piece in a specific crystal can be an amazing investment. While smaller crystals depending on the stone itself might be of the rarer variety or the quality is outstanding, therefore it’s amazing it was even found.

If it is a fragile and delicate crystal and has not sustained any damage or minor damage.

Quality of course comes into it as you can have some amazing fluorite and then you have some beautiful gem like Fluorite which is quite rare, especially Blue Fluorite

Specific crystals formed and still on their matrix opposed to polished and carved pieces etc of the same crystal. This can be the game changer between an incredible piece and a collectible piece.

In the end it comes down to what you are drawn too and what is drawn to you. The bonus is when you buy a collectible crystal it becomes a physical investment and will only grow in value in the years to come.

What will your next investment be?
