🔮 Lapis Lazuli: The Stone of Ancient Wisdom
💙🩵💛💚 Third eye, Throat, Solar plexus, Heart Chakras
Clean lines, strong geometry and the unmistakable blue of natural Lapis Lazuli give this men’s ring a beautifully contemporary feel.
The centre features a polished hexagonal piece of Lapis Lazuli set directly into Sterling Silver, with a streamlined bezel following the shape of the stone. The shoulders taper smoothly into the band, creating a substantial appearance from the front while keeping the overall design simple and very wearable.
The Lapis itself is particularly striking, with rich royal blue colouring scattered with natural golden Pyrite inclusions. Against the clean Sterling Silver setting, those tiny metallic flecks really stand out and give the stone its own individual character.
Lapis Lazuli is immediately recognisable for its intense blue colouring, which can range from deep royal and midnight blue through to brighter ultramarine tones. Natural pieces may also contain areas of white Calcite and metallic golden Pyrite, creating the distinctive variations for which Lapis has been admired for thousands of years.
Unlike a single mineral, Lapis Lazuli is actually a metamorphic rock composed predominantly of the blue mineral lazurite, commonly accompanied by Calcite, Pyrite and other minerals. The balance of these components creates the natural colour and pattern variations seen from one piece to another.
Its history is equally fascinating.
Lapis Lazuli has been used for jewellery, carvings and decorative objects for thousands of years, with examples found among the cultures of ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt. Finely ground Lapis was also historically used to produce natural ultramarine, once one of the most valuable blue pigments available.
That long history sits beautifully against the modern geometry of this particular ring. The hexagonal cut gives the ancient stone a much more contemporary character, while the minimal Sterling Silver setting allows the colour and natural Pyrite to remain the focus.
Metaphysically, Lapis Lazuli is traditionally associated with wisdom, truth, confidence and self-expression. Connected with the Third Eye and Throat Chakras, it is often chosen for encouraging clear thinking, honest communication and trusting your own judgement.
A strong, clean design for our first men’s ring collection, combining one of the world's most historically significant natural stones with contemporary Sterling Silver styling.
