🔮 Lapis Lazuli: The Stone of Ancient Wisdom
💙🩵💛💚 Third eye, Throat, Solar plexus, Heart Chakras
Strong geometry and rich natural blue give this Lapis Lazuli ring a distinctly structured appearance within our men’s collection.
At the centre is a polished rectangular piece of natural Lapis Lazuli, set vertically into Sterling Silver. Its deep royal blue colouring is scattered with subtle natural golden Pyrite, adding small metallic details across the surface without taking away from the intensity of the blue.
What really distinguishes this design is the silverwork.
Rather than a traditional smooth signet-style shoulder, multiple raised horizontal lines step outward on either side of the Lapis. These repeated silver details create a broad, substantial profile across the top of the ring before tapering into the solid Sterling Silver band below.
There is a slightly architectural, almost Art Deco character to the finished design, with the straight edges of the rectangular Lapis echoed by the strong linear silverwork surrounding it.
Lapis Lazuli is one of the world's most historically significant ornamental stones, instantly recognised for its intense blue colouring. Natural material can range from royal and ultramarine blue through to deeper midnight tones, often accompanied by golden Pyrite and areas of Calcite.
Lapis Lazuli is actually a metamorphic rock rather than a single mineral. Its blue colouring is predominantly produced by lazurite, with Pyrite, Calcite and other minerals commonly occurring throughout the material. It is this natural combination that creates the individual colour and pattern variations seen from one piece to another.
Its history stretches back thousands of years.
Lapis was highly valued across ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt, where it was used for jewellery, carvings, amulets and decorative objects. Ground Lapis Lazuli was also historically used to produce natural ultramarine, an intensely blue pigment that became extraordinarily valuable in art.
Metaphysically, Lapis Lazuli is traditionally associated with wisdom, truth, confidence and self-expression. Connected with the Third Eye and Throat Chakras, it is often chosen for clear thinking, honest communication and trusting your own judgement.
A bolder interpretation of the classic Lapis men’s ring, combining rich natural colour with strong geometric Sterling Silver detailing.
