This is one of those Quartz specimens where the inclusions are very much the main event.

Originating from Brazil, this substantial Pink Rabbit Hair Quartz has been polished into a tall point while retaining an incredible concentration of thick, silky inclusions suspended throughout beautifully transparent to translucent Quartz.

Rather than the very fine, sparse threads often seen in Rabbit Hair Quartz, this specimen contains dense sweeping formations that appear almost fibrous or feather-like. Soft blush pink, peach, cream and warmer coppery tones move through the lower portion of the crystal, while long lustrous strands extend upwards through the clearer Quartz.

Under natural light, the effect becomes particularly beautiful. Individual fibres catch and reflect the light, creating a soft silky shimmer through the interior while the clearer sections provide windows into the inclusion structure. Turn the piece and completely different layers appear, from dense bundles and sweeping veils to finer individual strands seemingly suspended within the Quartz.

“Rabbit Hair Quartz” is a trade name used for Quartz containing fine fibrous or needle-like mineral inclusions that create the characteristic hair-like appearance. Pink Rabbit Hair is particularly sought after for its softer pink, peach and reddish inclusion colours. 

What really sets this specimen apart is the combination of inclusion density and clarity. There is a substantial amount of material inside the Quartz, yet large areas remain clear enough to see deep into the crystal. The inclusions are also unusually thick and lustrous, giving the specimen considerable depth rather than appearing as a flat wash of colour.

The point has been polished to allow maximum visibility into the interior while areas around the lower section retain more of the natural formation and texture. It is presented on its own clear display base, allowing the specimen to stand beautifully while keeping the focus entirely on the Quartz.

Metaphysically, Pink Rabbit Hair Quartz is traditionally associated with emotional healing, self-love, compassion and moving forward with greater confidence. Quartz itself is commonly associated with clarity and amplification, while the soft pink colouring naturally lends this material to Heart Chakra traditions.

From a collector perspective, though, this is simply an exceptional inclusion Quartz.

Thick, lustrous fibres, beautiful clarity and layer upon layer of natural formation make this a specimen that really needs to be turned in the light to appreciate properly.

Here are a few things to consider and even research when looking at collectible crystals for yourself -

✨ The size of a certain crystal can be a factor as to whether it’s considered a collectible piece and can vary depending on the crystal type.

✨ larger pieces have been around for a lot longer so to find a larger piece in a specific crystal can be an amazing investment. While smaller crystals depending on the stone itself might be of the rarer variety or the quality is outstanding, therefore it’s amazing it was even found.

✨ If it is a fragile and delicate crystal and has not sustained any damage or minor damage.

✨ Quality of course comes into it as you can have some amazing fluorite and then you have some beautiful gem like Fluorite which is quite rare, especially Blue Fluorite

✨ Specific crystals formed and still on their matrix opposed to polished and carved pieces etc of the same crystal. This can be the game changer between an incredible piece and a collectible piece.

In the end it comes down to what you are drawn too and what is drawn to you. The bonus is when you buy a collectible crystal it becomes a physical investment and will only grow in value in the years to come.
