🔮 Volcanic Agate: The Illuminator of Purpose

❤️💛💚 Root, Solar Plexus & Heart Chakras

Dark and mysterious in natural light, but shine a UV light over these hearts and they reveal their little secret. 💚✨

Our polished Volcanic Agate Hearts have a deep smoky grey to almost black appearance, with natural areas of banding, translucency and mineral inclusions running through each piece. Some will appear more uniform, while others reveal lighter formations, cloudy sections or subtle patterning beneath the polished surface.

But these really come to life under UV light.

When exposed to ultraviolet light, areas within the Agate fluoresce green, revealing patterns and formations that can be almost completely hidden under normal lighting. The strength and placement of the fluorescence will naturally differ from heart to heart, making it especially fun to see what each one has hiding inside.

Agate is a microcrystalline variety of Quartz, more specifically Chalcedony, and develops as silica-rich material fills cavities and fractures within host rock over long periods of time. The term Volcanic Agate is commonly used for Agate associated with volcanic environments, where silica-rich fluids can fill cavities left behind within volcanic rock.

The green UV reaction comes from fluorescent activators within the material. Because the mineral chemistry varies throughout the stone, not every section responds equally, which is exactly why the fluorescent patterns can look so different from one piece to another.

Metaphysically, Agate is traditionally associated with grounding, stability and balance, while the heart shape adds its familiar symbolism of love, connection and emotional wellbeing.

Each heart is individually patterned and will vary in colour, translucency, inclusions and UV fluorescence.

Beautifully moody by day. Secret green party under UV. 😂💚🔦

💚 Hearts

Heart shapes are one of our favourites and a gentle reminder of the love within us all. From small to large it really doesn’t matter the size only what they represent and that is love. Love within and love throughout.

Whether you have them as display pieces or keep them in your pocket when you need that extra support, hearts should be one of those crystals that should be a staple in everyone’s crystal diet.

The more we are reminded that we are loved and live through our hearts, the better this world will be.
